Platform to Modernize Legacy Email
The legacy technology used to deliver and route email for all of today’s network systems and applications is based on the Simple Mail Transport Protocol's (SMTP) Mail Transport Agent (MTA), which was invented in the 1980s to relay email between servers and through processing applications. MTAs like Sendmail and Postfix use a simple hub-based architecture that becomes strained by adding services such as anti-virus, anti-spam, encryption, archiving, policy management, transactional systems, and email-based applications such as customer relationship management and direct marketing.
The SparkEngine is a next-generation email transport platform that architecturally shifts from the legacy MTA hardware-intensive matrix of serial processes to a scalable, open, integrated, and efficient system for email transport and processing, services, and applications.
