On 5/14/09, BakBone Software, Inc. acquired ColdSpark, Inc. Bringing BakBone and ColdSpark together will provide customers with access to next-generation technologies to protect data at rest, as well as data in motion. BakBone will maintain the ColdSpark brand and products as a subsidiary.
At ColdSpark, we have worked very hard to become a leader in messaging for the enterprise. Our SparkEngine platform, combined with the MailFusion email automation suite has provided our customers with unmatched integration, visibility and control over their most critical communications.
As this new chapter begins, ColdSpark will continue to provide innovative solutions to the most demanding industries in the world. In addition, ColdSpark will further expand into new messaging channels and target critical challenges for the enterprise, including compliance, control and customer care. The exciting news is that the combination of the two companies provides a unique foundation upon which users will be able to address these challenges with data that is at rest, such as file system and database data, as well as data in motion as it is routed across messaging systems or network infrastructures.
