ColdSpark Adds Security Pioneer, Gregor Freund, to Board of Directors

Email Infrastructure Company Expands Board of Directors to Include Zone Labs Founder

BROOMFIELD, CO, October 3, 2006 - ColdSpark™, the leader in next-generation enterprise messaging infrastructure, today announced the addition of Gregor Freund to its Board of Directors. Mr. Freund, an industry veteran who was the former chief technology officer of Check Point® Software Technologies and the founder of Zone Labs®, has overseen the development of award-winning products such as ZoneAlarm® and Integrity. This appointment follows ColdSpark's recent addition of two new executive team members, Mike Puterbaugh as vice president of marketing and Ric Rodriquez as vice president of engineering, further strengthening the company's already impressive senior leadership.

"With his extensive operational experience bringing small companies to the very top of crowded markets and his intimate understanding of enterprise security trends and technologies, we view Gregor as an invaluable resource," said Kelly Wanser, CEO of Coldspark. "We recognize that in today's enterprise, security and messaging have become inextricably linked, which is why the ColdSpark platform has such a strong security component. With Gregor's input, we will continue to ensure that our platform offers security that exceeds our customers' expectations."

As chief technology officer of Check Point and head of the Zone Labs Division (a company founded by Mr. Freund in 1997 and acquired by Check Point in 2004), Mr. Freund was responsible for leading product development strategy. Prior to founding Zone Labs, he helped found Starfish Software, developer of mobile information management technologies, later acquired by Motorola. In addition, Mr. Freund was a principal software architect for software developer, Borland.

"Legacy email infrastructures were not designed to support today's enterprise security requirements, which is why many businesses have taken a fragmented approach to improving systems," said Mr. Freund. "ColdSpark provides an extensible, customizable solution built from the ground up with security in mind. I'm pleased to join ColdSpark's board of directors and look forward to helping the company increase market share while raising the bar for secure enterprise email solutions."
